Those in need of some E3 Halo content should jet over to Ensemble Studios' Halo Wars site. They've just released an awesome new E3 trailer for the game and a bunch or new screenshots.

I love these trailers, they really get me pumped for some epic battles.

Awesome trailer.

Even more awesome is that they confirmed the Covenant are playable, and a spring 2009 release! Hooray!

Now they just need to say whether or not the Flood are playable...

It dawned on me. I'll never get to play this game. I won't watch the trailer, it will just make me sad.

At that time in 2009 I will have moved to the USA, so no more xbox, although I'll still be able to talk to you guys.

You gotta watch the trailer man, it's the closest we've got right now to a Halo movie.

It's pre-rendered, though. So of course you'd love them.

It'll just make me sad :(

because in America I won't have an xbox 360 for an entire year. Then back to NZ to go to university. (I can't bring my 360, as it won't support games there, and also it won't fit the power outlets)

That sucks, man.

The art style used in the cinematics is fantastic. I mean, how bad ass do these guys look?

From a visual standpoint, I'm really pleased with where Ensemble have taken the series.

http://e3.g4tv.com/e32008/videos/26921/Hands_On_Halo_Wars.html A Halo Wars hands-on from G4. A bit of unit production and, of course, some combat! :D
